Your Situation & WFS Service

Your Situation

Life Is Changing

You need tools to help you balance short-term financial needs with long-term goals.

You're in the middle of your career and retirement is now just visible on the horizon.

The pandemic has changed how and where you want to work. You need help organizing your finances to support a new version of your future.

You have owned your own business for some time. How do you retire from it?

WFS Service

Financial Planning

There is plenty of advice available about how to organize your financial affairs. There are a lot of moving parts, such as deciding on your goals, tracking your money, paying down debt, building an emergency fund, understanding your 401(k) or another employer plan, and much more.

Creating a financial plan is an overwhelming task, and it's easy to put off. A thinking partner can get you started, help you stay on track, and get the plan done.

At Waterstone, we have the training, experience, tools, and checklists to help you fully understand your financial picture today, define your goals for tomorrow, and get to work to make those happen. And we're there for you when the plan needs to change (and it will).

Overwhelmed with Options

You've done your homework. You know how your financials stand today. You need help:

  • Estimating what you'll need in the future.
  • Deciding which strategies, tactics, and investment assets will help you meet both short-term and long-term needs.

Investment Management

The financial advisory industry uses a variety of terms to describe what it does. Unfortunately, there are no consistent definitions of the terms.

For one WFS client, "investment management" may mean setting up and managing their asset portfolio (a mix of stocks, bonds, exchange-traded funds, etc.) with our investment partners to start saving for retirement.

For another client, it may mean also coordinating tax issues, estate planning, or saving for college.

WFS starts with gathering information about your needs and specific situation. Then we create a personalized strategy that uses a range of financial products and services to support your retirement and other goals. As needed, WFS also works with your other advisors in areas like tax and estate planning to ensure seamless support.

Defining "Retirement" Now

The traditional version of a one-company career ending with a pension is more and more rare.

You recognize that the responsibility for accumulating the finances needed later in life is now fully yours.

You need guidance on how to make that happen.

You want to start a business after retiring. What do you need to think about?

Retirement Planning

Planning for retirement can be a lifelong process. The sooner you begin, the longer your savings and investments have to grow.

The keys are defining what retirement means to you (why, how, when, where) as well as getting on grip on your current financial picture.

WFS has the knowledge and experience to lead you through our retirement planning process. It's designed to reduce the overwhelm that such planning can trigger. It's also comprehensive, covering almost everything you need to consider and probably some things you can safely cross off your list.

Living Longer and Still Living Well

You are well aware that living longer (life span) doesn't necessarily mean still being healthy enough (health span) to handle daily life, especially if you are on your own.

Perhaps you or a loved one you care for is facing some loss of ability.

You've learned options are increasing rapidly as the baby boomers are now grappling with this.

You need help finding, sorting through, and assessing options.

Longevity Planning

Life expectancy refers to an estimate or an average number of years a person can expect to live. It’s affected by personal factors like your family history, your environment, your diet, and even your age and sex.

Humans are living longer than ever. The challenges are having enough money to maintain quality of life throughout all of it.

WFS helps you address the difficult questions concerning your future care and health. We serve as the focal point to help you and your family work through the issues and determine the best solutions.
